The heat's on
• Truck drivers now have the chance to enter Cellnet's best British driver competition and win a Toyota car. There will be 12 regional heats held where competitors will be tested on manoeuvring, smooth driving skills and road safety knowledge.
They will be held at Cardiff on 26 May, Southampton 8 June, Maidstone 22 June, Norwich 29 June, Bristol 14 July, Manchester 21 July, Leeds 27 July, Reading 10 August, Walsall 18 August, Glasgow 25 August, Hitchin 7 September and Nottingham 21 September.
Category finals — including commercial drivers, business drivers, young drivers under 25 years old, women drivers and low mileage drivers — will be held in November at the Transport Road Research Laboratory at Crowthorne in Berkshire. And the overall final will be held at TRRL next March.
