Driving for more than 4.5 hours without taking the required breaks have cost Corwen lorry driver Garry Jones £477 in fines and costs.
He pleaded guilty to four offences before Wrexham Magistrates.
The court was told that a drawbar outfit laden with biofuel and driven by Jones on a journey from Bramouth to Shotton was stopped in a check on the Mold Bypass.
An examination of Jones' tachograph records showed he had driven for five hours 25 minutes with only a 20-minute break; for six hours 54 minutes with a 31-minute break: for seven hours 10 minutes with a 35-minute break; and for six hours 18 minutes with a 20-minute break.
The magistrates fined Jones a total of £220 and ordered him to pay £257 prosecution costs.
