• Bowmonk's latest BrakeCheck portable electronic brake tester can be used by workshops, testing and inspection stations to calculate the efficiency of a vehicle's service and park brake systems.
The device is powered by four rechargeable batteries and can be used with any type of vehicle, including motorcycles. This selfcompensating unit can be positioned anywhere in the vehicle.
When inactive, it powers down but retains earlier test results for later viewing, printing or downloading to a PC, via the optional cable or infrared link.
A double-axis accelerometer enables BrakeCheck to measure peak and average deceleration (front/rear), peak acceleration, and to indicate lateral swing, with values. It also measures test speeds and stopping distances, in metres.
The BrakeCheck is compact (its dimensions are 170x80x35mm), and it weighsjust 0.4kg.
