Hargreaves is expected to double its turnover to £130m followin the acquisition of Barnsley-basec Monck ton Coke; the expansior will also increase work for it trucks.
Finance director Peter Dillor says: "We did a lot of the worl, there in any case but this will mear that we do all their work, whict includes 300,000 tonnes of coal z year in and 200,000 tons of coke out, plus a lot of chemicals for the bulk liquid transport fleet, so i should certainly keep us busy."
The purchase of Monekton i! economically sound because the price of coke has soared by 50% it the last year.This is partly due to the fact that China,which used to be the main exporter of coke into Europe now keeps all it produces for it own fast expanding industries.
