LANCASTER’S KIDDS Transport has spent £500,000 on six new Scanias to meet an increase in pallet volumes. Kidds, which is part of the Palletways network, has acquired six Scania R Series 440PS Euro-5 tractors, taking its fleet to 32 vehicles.
Operations director Simon Park says: “These new vehicles are vital to our growth in the Palletways network and are perfect for the varied range of traffic that we deal with at Kidds.
“This is an exciting time for the business, with growth of 12.5% year-on-year from our membership of the Palletways network. We expect to make further vehicle fleet investments over the next few months.” Kidds added five Scanias to its fleet in 2009.
