"UNPREDICTABLE" VVHEN Mr. F. J. Jennings, Poplar. W London, E.14, applied to the Metropolitan Licensing Authority recently for an extra vehicle on his B licence, it was explained that the vehicle was needed to meet the increasing demand for the salvage of bakery waste for pig food.

Bakery waste mainly consisted of materials which had been spoilt during baking because of the breakdown of machinery. From the transport aspect, the traffic was quite unpredictable,. yet transport away always had to be performed the morning after baking.

Objections were lodged by the Railway and Road Haulage Executives.

The extra vehicle was granted. Mr. Jennings was represented by Mr. Ralph Cropper.
