• Federal Express Honk )elivery has won a contract tc deliver catalogue company Freemans' orders throughout London. It has 18 vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes on order to join its existing fleet which will collect parcels from Freemans' Peterborough warehouse and trunk them to Enfield and Croydon sorting centres. Federal Express has 18 vehicles on order for its newly-won Freemans' contract. FedEx has appointed more than 100 couriers to distribute the parcels and plans to recruit 30 more.
The company bought Littlewoods' in-house distribution company last year and hopes it will become "a major carrier for Freemans", says Cohn King, sales and marketing director for home deliveries.
