superseded the popular 90 series. High on the list of design priorities was safety with a new front end incorporating a smooth, resilient and recyclable plastic apron together with an under-ride guard to minimise accident damage.
The vehicle has a roomy cab with low engine tunnel allowing easy access across the vehicle. The F90's elaborate cab suspension was refined further and a new driving seat with integrated seatbelt anchorages adds to the comfort.
New Euro-2 spec engines were introduced for the F2000 with power outputs ranging from 340 to 460bhp. All boast EDC injection pump control together with a cruise function, speed control for power take-offs and a speed governor.
Internally ventilated front disc brakes are standard across the range and the system runs at an increased circuit pressure of 10 bar. Variableratio power steering, with a hydraulic circuit pressure of 150 bar, eases steering effort and maximises straight line stability.
