Solihull-based AD Humpherson was placed into administration on 18 November last year, blaming the loss of one contract and the late start of another for financial difficulties. Now the Humpherson family has set up a new company, lAillynot Service Station, based in Sutton Coldfield.
According to theTraffic Commissioners' publication Applications and Decisions, the company has been granted an 0-licence to run out of Exel's Avonmouth depot.
CMspoke to the "proprietorof Whynot Service Station; when we asked to speak to Mr Humpherson he asked: "Which one?" He con firmed he was one of the Humpherson family running the new business, which includes Philip, Derek and Andrew. He confirmed the family had previously run AD Humpherson.
However, he refused to discuss the situation, saying that the new enterprise was "only a small concern". AD Humpherson specialised in Hazchem work and became a member of the Palletline network last June.
