AIRCRAFT IDENTIFICATION
Second Edition Completely Revised and Enlarged
Aircraft Identification—the handy pocket-size book, completely revised and enlarged— contains information which will enable you to identify Enemy or British aeroplanes in the air—an admittedly exacting task. The leading types of aircraft likely to be seen are vividly presented. As silhouettes all the types are shown in three positions. Among them is the new German bomber Ju 88 K, other bombers and fighters, float seaplanes and flying-boats. For every type shown in silhouette there is also a -close-upillustration. A picture of the new British type of bomber—the Bristol Beaufort—is included for the first time. A double-page depicts types of military aeroplanes as they would appear against a natural cloud background. Leading French machines are also illustrated. In addition, there are the Fields of Fire of two-motor bombers of the German Air Force. Among them is the Heinkel He IIIK Mk. V. bomber, the latest version of which differs considerably from the earlier types. These interesting diagrams clearly reveal the vulnerable points, the position of the crews and the fuel tanks in these particular types of bombing aeroplanes.
