The figures show exactly the same total as that of our last census. The actual number of new omnibuses put into service is 14, but we have made special enquiries regarding certain omnibuses which have not been in service for some time. Where the repairs are so extensive as still to require a long time for completion, or where the chassis are being altered to work as lorries, we have taken them off our list. Hence the somewhat anomalous result that the total recorded remains stationary.
