I REFER to the letter published in Commercial Motor dated November 29 from D. G. Bonner concerning vibration problems experienced with a Bedford TK1630.
My company experienced the same type of problem with the 14.5 tons Bedford KH EMT4 model, The very same checks were carried out as described by Mr Bonner, fitting new drums, balancing wheels and even fitting new tyres, with no success.
The problem was eventualh almost eliminated by alterinc. the castor angle. This we: achieved by fitting wedges be tween springs and axles.
This may solve Mr Bonner': problem but obviously hi should discuss this with Vaux hall Motors to see if there is mar gin for alteration and to see their approval.
