NORCO Transport Ltd, a subsidiary of the Mersey Docks and H; bour Company, won a contract to move rum from Liverpool Avonmouth. The spirit had matured in the vaults of the dock col pany's Stanley bonded warehouse which is fed regularly by bL carriers discharging up to 250,000 gallons by direct pipeline.
Norco has transported 20 loads from Liverpool to Avonmouth. One of the company's tankers is pictured heading south with more than 4,000 gallons for Saccone and Speed Ltd, St Brendan's Way, Avonmouth.
Phil Farrar, the company's commercial manager, said it was a good feeling in the midst of recession to acquire a nE traffic.
Norco Transport operates fleet of 19 tankers which carry types of bulk liquids rangii from animal feedstuffs to edit oils, chemicals, oil additives, e, ble feed products and wines al spirits.
