THOSE political agitators who plan to disrupt the launch of the South African-built Ford Cortina pick-up (CMJune 19) allege that the vehicles are assembled using cheap labour. — I don't recall hearing anything from this particular branch of "Rentamob" about the sale of Belaz, Moskvich or Roman vehicles in Britain.
Because the politics of the Eastern Bloc accord with the real aims of such people, they conveniently ignore the labour conditions on the other side of the Iron Curtain.
