PLANS FOR CO-OP'S new Scottish distribution centre are expected to be debated in the next few weeks.
A spokesman for North Lanarkshire Council says the application for the 503,577ft2 facility at ProLogis Park M8 in Newhouse is being considered by officers, and "various consultations" have taken place. He says: -We hope it can go to committee in the next few weeks."
The site features a 426,387ft2 warehouse with three-storey offices totalling 30,814ft2 and hub offices of 10,0001f2.
There will be 300 HGV trailer spaces, as well as provision for 444 car parking places.
Gail Hume, planner at Turley Associates, which submitted the application last month, adds: "If approved, construction on the site could start in November."
