MR WILLIAM RODGERS, the Transport Minister, revealed in the Commons that he is responsible for making 146 paid public appointments, whose total cost in salaries and fees was approximately £490,000 in 1977-78.
The figures fo 1976-77 were 137 appointments costing about £480,000.
