CHEMICAL EMERGENCIES • The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority has developed Tremcards (Transport Emergency Cards) which give emergency instructions on the Jealing of chemical road cargoes, through a PC microcomputer.
The system is available in eight languages and has an initial cost of £500 with an annual updating charge of 2300. The package includes a multilanguage database and operating software.

TRAINING REGULATIONS • From 5 September participants in a range of training programmes, including Employment Training, will be covered by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
