Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The group of illustrations reproduced on this page shows a type of S.D. Freighter, of which the City of London Corporation has recently taken delivery of two, these being in the nature of a repeat order. The utility of the machines is much increased by the fact that each is provided -with two bodies, cue being intended for refuse collection work and the other for street watering.

The watering tank body has a capacity of 800 gallons and is arranged for gravity feed to a rear-sprinkler pipe— an arrangement which enables a width of spray up to-20 ft. to be given. Two separate controls are provided, so that either half of this width can be dealt with independently. There is also a 1.in. channel flushing pipe having a single control.

The capacity of the dustcart body is ,approximately 10 cubic yds. The loading level, however, is no higher than that of the standard S.D. Freighter dustcart; that is to say, 4 ft. 1 in. from the ground. The body Is 14 ft. long and 6 ft. 6 ins. wide, and it can be tipped to an angle of 45 degrees. The refuse-collecting body or the water tank can be lifted complete, but the hydraulic tipping ram remains anchored to the main chassis frame.
