• Bullens Transport Group Ltd has acquired J. C. Wells (Transport) Ltd, and its subsidiary. A. Pile and Son (Transport) Ltd, of West Mailing, Kent. The terms of acquisition do not include the freehold property which is being acquired separately.
J. C. Wells (Transport) will continue to trade as a Bullens depot and will be utilized for general storage and distribution within the areas of Kent, Surrey and Sussex; for van and contract hire; and for long-distance haulage, operating vehicles up to 32 tons gross. Mr Colin Grimwood has been appointed general manager.
