• Iveco Fords' latest tractive unit/prime mover, EuroTech, has became the second range to be equipped to work with the manufacturer's Modus diagnostic system.
The new tractor unit has 430mm disc drakes on the front axle operated by increased line pressure, up from eight to llbar.
An uprated 9.5-litre engine with electrically controlled diesel pump is used up to 276kW (370hp), with a 13.8-litre unit at 309kW (414hp). Oil drain periods can be extended to 40,000km by using a Fiat Lubrificanti's Urania Turbo LE).
By using Set Right wheel bearings the need to re-set end float on the axles has been eliminated and manual greasing is now restricted to the drive shaft and kingpins.
Right-hand-drive versions are expected in the UK in September.
