that I am fully prepared to take vehicles on an organised protest. However, an organised stoppage would have far greater impact upon the public, but, because hauliers refuse to trust each other, this is unlikely to ever happen.
I am currently actively supporting the Trans-Action movement, but ultimately would prefer to see just one large trade association.
I am aware of the change of attitude by the RHA; I am pleased that they have acknowledged the situation and are making an effort to get involved.
However, time is of the essence and a twoyear timescale for sorting this mess out will doubtless be too much for many operators to bear.
The United Road Transport Union is running a slogan, "One industry, one voice". Now seems an appropriate time for us all to take note! Mike Lewis, Shrewsbury.
