ANEW design of Tex driving mirror for commercial vehicles has been introduced by Magnatex, Ltd., Bath Road, Harlington, Middx. Two shapes of mirror drum are available. One is
round, and of 5.5 in. diameter, the other rectangular, but with curved edges and measuring 7.5 in. x 5.5 in. In addition to the different glass shapes, 9-in., 1-ft. 3-in. or 1-ft. 9-in.-long arms and flat or convex glasses are obtainable.
Incorporated in the arm location in the mounting bracket is a ratchet device which enables the mirror to be folded back against the cab when required, but locks the arm firmly in the driving position.
Prices vary according to the length of arm and type of glass ordered, but as an example, a rectangular-shaped, convex glass on a 1-ft. 3-in.-long arm costs £1 12s, 9d.
