• 'f he first MacPac 55 to be built on a Mercedes chassis has been bought by Roystonbased Tyler Environmental Services for its refuse collection contract with Runnymede Borough Council.
The £30,000 mini mobile compactor, produced by David MacKrill Engineering of Bury St Edmunds, is fitted with a hydraulic lift which can handle wheelibins ranging from 120 to 1,100 litres.
Tyler runs 10 vehicles on the Runnymede contract and has refuse collection contracts with 16 other local authorities.
