1 • Prohibition notices led North Western Traffic Commissioner Martin Albu to curtail by eight months the licence of T Milner & Sons, of Wrexham, to expire in May 1994, and reduce the vehicle authority from two to one.
Vehicle examiner Eric James said that at an annual test in April, the company made four attempts at passing—an immediate prohibition having been issued. A fleet examination was can-led out, resulting in an immediate prohibition for a lethal braking defect
It was said at the hearing that Miler's maintenance contractor was himself an illegal operator and the cause of some of Milner's problems.
Director Thomas Milner said that he had not known of his previous maintenance contractor's reputation.
The vehicle had gone into the garage three days before its annual test and it became apparent that the vehicle had never been touched. A maintenance contract had since been coered into with LeyAlbu: operator's land Dd. responsibility.
