Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Bridgwater, Somerset.

Suitable for light commercial vehicles the Crypton-Bradbury roller tester produced by Crypton Equipment, features an electrical load cell. Motors of -I hp are used for driving the rollers.

A special feature of the Crypton-Bradbury tester, a third "protection" roller, has two purposes. If the road wheel of the vehicle locks during a test the driving rollers will tend to lift them out of the tester; in this event the third roller also moves upward and operates a microswitch which stops the roller motors. The electric circuit to the motors is also broken by the microswitch if the third roller ceases to revolve, which prevents damage to the tyres if sudden application of the brakes locks the wheels.
