Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Aimed at the increasing use of aluminium radiators in vehicles, a new corrosion inhibitor from Bayer is claimed to prevent all corrosion.

Now being offered for sale as "Trial Product OC 2002", the inhibitor is also said to prevent cavitation in steel or cast iron, and can be used between minus 40° cand plus 1200 C.

The inhibitor acts through passivation of the metal surface, and is a combination of various salts.
