WT have received from Read and Campbell, Ltd., 75, Victoria Street, London, S.W.1, information relating to the Wells-Rellumit oil and grease distributors which it is now marketing. These outfits have a special interest for commercial vehicle users and garage owners in that they enable oil and grease to be efficiently handled with speed and accuracy—factors which are of much importance, particularly when dealing with business motors.
One of the company's portable oil distributors has a capacity of 40 gallons. Special features of its design include a lock-up tank, a suction force pump, an effective filter, a transparent measuring chamber, a continuous quantity recorder, a constantly charged delivery pipe, an anti-drip nozzle and a threeway valve.
The type A portable grease distributor which the company markets will hold 2 lb. of grease in a transparent cylinder in which is a piston actuated through alternative lowor mediumpressure gearing by a suitable crank. A calibrated measuring device is used to register the quantity of lubricant supplied from the steel cylinder which accommodates 8 oz, of grease. A three-way discharge valve controls the
direction of lubricant from the steel cylinder to three outlet nipples, to any one of which a delivery pipe or greasegun may be coupled. If necessary, a direct supply can be obtained from the transparent cylinder.
A booklet which the company has prepared deals primarily with the lubrication of motor vehicles ; it stresses the features of the Wells-Rellumit outfits and draws attention to the company's system of chassis lubrication. A copy of it can be obtained by any of our readers from the company, at the address we have given at the commencement of this brief description.
