• A new bus terminal is to be constructed at Brandon Street. Hamilton, Lanarkshire, as part of the town's redevelopment programme. The main unit, embracing waiting rooms, offices and an electricity substation, will cost £40,000. A further £60,000 will be spent on site clearance, surfacing and the provision of passenger bays. Car parking facilities will be included.
• A decimal fare structure introduced on February 22 by Glasgow Corporation Transport incorporated fare increases already granted. The new fares are 3p, 6p and 9p for adults and 2p, 3p and 4p for children. The 20-journey weekly ticket is now £1.20, the night service single is 15p and the night service weekly ticket is 75p.
• Edinburgh Corporation Transport has applied to increase its 2fp and 7+p fares to 3p and 8p respectively. The 5p fare will remain unchanged.
