A resin-based, quick-drying sealant which contains a moisture dispersant has been introduced by Sunray (Birmingham) Ltd.
The sealant forms a tough skin over most surfaces, and is particularly suitable for application on metals exposed to the .corrosive effects of weather, acids, road salt, etc.
Called Raynap Protelak, it is applied by brush or spray on to clean dry surfaces: 30rnin should be allowed between applications where a second coat is applied. It may be sprayed over electrical circuitry, for instance on vehicle engines to prevent poor starting during damp or winter conditions and is acceptable as a primer coat for further painting operations.
Raynap Protelak has been formulated for the preservation of vehicle chassis, bodywork and electrical equipment and has a large potential use in the motor transport and metal construction industries, having an excellent coverage of approximately 200 sq ft per gal.
Made by: Sunray (Birmingham) Ltd, Chemical Works, Two Gates Tamworth, Staffs.
Price: From £1.75 per gal according to quantity.
