Bus services in rural areas continue to develop in the South Wales district. The South Wales Commercial Motors, Ltd., Cardiff, who were pioneers of bus services in the area east of Newport, now desire to found two, possibly three, rural district services centred on Chepstow and linkkl with their Newport
Chepstow service. "
The Chepstow Urban District Council has decided that its policy is to en courage the establishment of services that will bring the agricultural districts into better touch with the towns, but before granting licences to' this company wish to have an undertaking that buses above certain weights will not be used, in view of the condition of rural roads.
