A NUMBER of prominent past and in. present figures in parcels and smalls transport by road attended a reception in London on Tuesday arranged by members of the Express Carriers Group of the R.H.A. to mark the 25th anniversary of the formation of the National Conference of Express Carriers. Mr. S. A. Main, present chairman of the Group, presided at the reception and others who attended included Mr. S. R.
Vigor, commercial officer, B.R.S. (Parcels), Ltd., Mr. W. J. A. Peck, Mr. R, H. Farmer and Mr. Charles S. Dunbar.
Mr. Dunbar, who played a major part in setting up the National Conference and was its first chairman, gave a brief account of the history of co-operation among express carriers.
Among the guests at the reception were Mr. J. T. Turner and Mr. P. H. R. Turner. national vice-chairmen of the R.H.A. Mr. G. K. Newman, secretary-general and Mr. F. R. Lyon, public relations officer.
