THE first measures liberating international road passenger transport in the EEC member States came into force on January 1.
Transport carried out by a company for its own workers; occasional "closed doors" bus services (a vehicle carrying the same group of travellers over the whole journey and bringing them back to the starting point); and bus or coach trips entailing an outward journey with passengers and return journey without passengers, are now exempt from authorization.
Joint dales for regular services and for shuttle services are to be enacted by the Council before January 11968.
With effect from January 1 1969, other occasional services are to be exempt from authorization.
