Car-derived vans are by their nature a compromise. While you may have a degree of car-like 'luxury', you get the drawback of it not being purpose-built. Not so in the case of Vauxhall's Corsavan. Sleek and sporty looks combine with plenty of go about town and a capable loadspace.
It's recently had an engine transplant. with the smallest common-rail turbo diesel engine available — a 1.3CDTi 16v— replacing the elderly 1.7DTi. This new engine also goes into the latest Fiat Punto and Doblb Cargo. The new engine brings advantages which catapult the Corsavan to the top of its class — a 30,000-mile or two-year service interval and the lowest possible insurance grouping —both of which combine to make this a cheap van to own and drive.
The Corsa is a firm favourite with the courier firms. indicating good performance, durable build quality and decent driver acceptability.
