Four HGV drivers from the Dewsbury depot of Carryfast are giving up 10 days each of their holiday to haul 40 tonnes of supplies to Romania on behalf of the Clydebank Romania appeal. The three Leyland Daf 95 tractor units and trailers are from Carryfast and National Windscreen is donating the fuel.
The drivers are Kevin Rhodes, Raymond Parkinson, Ken Lister and Richard Dembizsky, visiting his family's homeland for the first time.
Amtrak of Milton Keynes is sending a 17tonne and a seven-tonne truck with 13 tonnes of equipment to Siret orphanage. But it needs more — especially items such as tinned food, nappies, towels, bunk beds, toys and fridges.
