WORCESTERSHIRE-BASED haulage and logistics company Taylors of Martley, which trades as TM Logistics, has appointed a new director to its board.
Mick Maton, who retired earlier this year as a senior partner at Taylors' auditors PKF, has joined as a non-executive director.
Maton has been involved with Taylors for a number of years and has seen the group's turnover rise to £30m in its last financial year, ending in June 2005. Group chief executive officer Stephen Taylor says:"We took the opportunity for Mick to bring his vast financial experience to us and we are delighted he'll be working with the board in helping steer our future plans."
Maton adds: "Having known the business for 30 years. there are great opportunities for TM Logistics in a very competitive industry."
TM Logistics employs more than 350 staff and runs a fleet of over 200 vehicles and 300 trailers.
