a caring Whitstable haulage company, all come together for the first two weeks of September in an effort to help a tragically paralysed six-yearold to walk again.
The `D' registered Volvo FL6 has entered service with F. H. Deadman & Son of Whitstable, Kent, an oldfashioned family haulier company engaged on UK and Continental operations. The driver, Eddie Close, approached the company with the money raising idea of sponsors donating money on a tonnes hauled basis over the first two working weeks of September.
The young lad is Michael Beetorth of Tankerton, near Whitstable. Although paralysed from the shoulders down in a car accident, a special, but expensive brace, will enable Michael to stand up and even walk again.
