Portable battery chargers with low weight0 mass to amps ratios are being manufactured by Caldwell Thermo Electrics.
The M.W. series of battery chargers are rated for continuous full-load operation. A removable back plate provides easy access to the terminal block, and the charger is constructed to work with an engine preheater.
Optional extras include automatic switching, which will operate when the battery is fully charged; a press-button battery tester to indicate the state of the battery under load conditions; and switching facilities where engine pre-heaters are operating.
