An automatic brush wash is now available from Esquire Ltd. The machine, which is manufactured in two sizes (small model No. 6/767 and large model No. 6/1167), moves on rails and is equipped with a mobile rotating brush.
The direction of the brush rotation can be checked and changed at will and this produces a double washing effect. The movement of the gantry (and the free-moving brush which it contains) is controlled from a glass-enclosed operator's booth. This can travel with the machine or—if required—can be fitted to remain stationary. The gantry with the rotating brush moves forwards and backwards along the sides of the vehicle while front and rear parts are washed by the brush with the gantry immobile; powerful jets wash the roof of the vehicle. The water supply can be shampoo-infused if and when required during the wash.
