Rivi self-adhesive lettering which has been widely used in Europe has been introduced into Britain by Moroi Ltd. This product is made from rigid vinyl-type sheet and is backed with pressure-sensitive adhesive having a high bond strength.
Ten sizes of letter are available, from 0.51n. to 7in., and Rivi is made in black, white, blue or red in two type faces, in capitals, lower case and numerals. Individual letters, sheets of letters and standard alphabetical assortments of 100 pieces per assortment are available and Rivi is also offered in made-up word forms. Signs, arrows and international symbols such as telephones, dining facilities and male and female cut-out figures for toilet doors are also included in the Rivi range, with special items such as company logos, symbols or trade marks able to be supplied to order.
The chief advantages of self-adhesive plastics letters are time and cost savings as compared with hand lettering and sign writing, consistent quality and finish of completed signs and the possibility of using non-skilled labour to apply the lettering and still achieve professional-style results. A release-coated lined grid is supplied to assist alignment of letters.
