two Avariation applications by a Cheadle haulier to add a total of seven artics to a fleet of 15 vehicles, the West Midland Licensing Authority, Mr. J. Else, granted five. This was at the end of the third day's hearing at Hanley on Monday. The application, by D. Scragg (Transport) Ltd., was opposed by British Road Services and British Railways.
The LA sought assurance on the length of time it would take to introduce any additional vehicles that he may grant, in view of Mr. Scragg's evidence covering the next 12 months.
