WHILST agreeing with everything printed in your articIE "Watch your fuel system: Be ready for winter" — (CM, October 31) I feel your writer has omitted one very important point; in that operators can overcome diesel "Gel" by using a fuel flow additive at very little additional cost.
My own company, as distributors of Century Oils, have supplied operators and used in our own vehicles "Century" Fuel Flow Additive and had no problems during winter. This product should bs added, for best results, before the temperature drops below 5°C; however, protection is as low as —20° without any effect on vehicle performance.
The cost factor is obviously important, and at a 400 to 1 mixture this is £1.25 — £1.50 per 100 gallons treated. This must surely be cheap insurance against delay and breakdown. ARNOLD B. CIVIL, Ad One Ltd Brampton Lane Chapel Brampton Northampton
