International Motors to expand following new Isuzu deal
• International Motors has won a renewable contract to continue importing the 4x4 Isuzu Trooper.
There are now no volume restrictions and IM wants to expand its dealership network from 120 to 140. The company expects to sell 650 Trooper Commercials this year and hopes this will rise to 1,000 a year following the expansion. The contract ends doubts surrounding the Trooper's future after Vauxhall began selling its version of the Trooper, the Monterey in 1994.
Now IM plans to regain some of its large orders with the likes of the police and the RAC.
