• Teeside firm Imperial Tankers has won a contract with Borden Chemicals to move formaldehyde from Borden's Peterlee plant to customers in the North-East.
Imperial managing director John Robinson says: "This is in line with one of our key strategic objectives — to broaden our product base away from ICI." The company has eight new tractors and two general purpose tankers on order this autumn, at a cost of £0.5 million.
