TRANSPORT C&R stone depot
• C&R Transport has opened a high-tech bulk storage depot on a 2.5-hectare site in Caine, Wiltshire, to service a new 222.5 million contract with mat surface specialist, Prismo.
The new depot, which will store aggregates and other rav, materials has also enabled the company to agree a three-year 2.4.5m dock handling and distribution contract with Glasson Grain of Glasson Dock near Lancaster.
C&R, which was set up in 1985 by owner-drivers Des Rodgers and Mike Collier, is negotiating to buy a six-hectan site in Lancaster on which to set up a northern haulage distribution centre, due to opei in February 1990,
