• Five operators are now competing for business on Scarborough's seafront. The open-toppers of EYMS Group subsidiary Scarborough & District face competition from the vintage open-toppers of Lincolnshire operator Appleby of Conisholme, which has a new local base at Seamer (CM 6-12 July), as well as from three other operators.
Primrose Valley Services has started its ScarboroughBridlington service from the seafront; another small operator is running an hourly local service in a loop along the front, while Revill Bus of East Driffield has been running two closed-top double-deckers.
