• Disciplinary proceedings involving Reid Freight Services have been adjourned by West Midland Licensing Authority John Mervyn Pugh until after the company's principal director, Julie Reid, has attended a new operator's seminar to be run by the Traffic Area on 4 September. The company had been called before the LA as a result of a number of convictions for overloading.
Mervyn Pugh indicated that when the hearing was resumed after Reid's attendance at the seminar, he proposed curtailing the duration of the licence in order to keep an eye on things, rather than revoking it altogether,
