• Rockwood Holdings has reported a 72.8% increase in pre-tax profits to 21.93 million for the six months to mid-June.
Scottish bid
• As the Transport and General Workers Union prepares for its English and Welsh pay claim at this month's annual conference, the Scottish TGWU branch has filed a claim for 212 a week across-the-board — a rise of 10%.
