As a truck industry veteran, John Biggin has seen it all f,pm top to bottom.
He began his career as an apprentice mechanic, then worked his way up through the ranks to truck technician, service manager, group operations manager and then after-sales director for various manufacturer dealerships.
In 1997, Biggin became MD of Scania dealership Keltruck, a position he occupied for 10 years before leading a management buy-in of TruckEast, with business partner (and current TruckEast chief financial officer) Simon Hobson. In just three years, the Stowmarket. Suffolkbased company has developed into one of the largest Scania outlets, with 12 depots located predominantly in the eastern part of the UK.
Biggin says: Our goal is to keep growing and expanding and put clear water between us and our competitors in terms of quality of service.
"Since the team took over TruckEast in March 2007, we've invested more than Elm in the business with new facilities, workshop equipment, training and premises. It's a one-stop-shop for commercial vehicle needs."
