A psv badge does not constitute a licence to drive anything. There must he thousands of ex-psv drivers who have allowed their licences to lapse but still retain their badges. Any employer who takes on a driver without first examining his psv qualifications as well as his ordinary driving licenGe should

not be in business in the first place. The present psv badge is quite adequate; after all an hgv driver does not have a badge at all.
