THE Pointer Group of Norwich has introduced a welfare scheme for nonalaried employees (hourly paid) that will vovide them with the same type of 5enefits enjoyed for a number of years )y the monthly and weekly paid staff.
The scheme, which is contributory, triers free life insurance of .£500, sick my at 10s. a day and a i10 gratuity for :ach year -of employment. Also, all nembers of the scheme will be entitled o four weeks' notice after three years' ervice instead of the normal five years.
Announcing the scheme, which will
cost employees only 2s. 6d. a week (all of which is refundable on leaving). Mr. P. H. Pointer, chairman of Pointer Group Holdings Ltd., said: "Over the years one of our greatest assets has been the loyalty and quality of our employees and. with my fellow directors, I have been seeking some way to mark our appreciation by providing some form of protection against the normal worries of redundancy, sick pay, life insurance and retirement."
Employees will be eligible to join the scheme after three years' service,
